9 Best Animalz Alternatives

9 Best Animalz Alternatives (banner v2)

Last updated: October 23, 2026

In a May 2026 Gartner survey of 401 CMOs and other marketing leaders, 56% said their marketing organization lacks the budget it needs to deliver this year's strategy. Average marketing budgets sat at 7.8% of company revenue, barely up from 7.7% the year before.

Flat budgets change how you buy content. You can't afford a retainer that does a bit of everything if what you really need is one channel working hard. You need to know the price before the second call, and you need proof that the people you're hiring have done it recently.

That's the usual reason teams start looking past Animalz. It's a capable, long-running B2B SaaS content agency with a wide format range, but it doesn't publish prices, its Clutch listing self-reports a start point of $8,000 a month, and it had zero Clutch reviews when we checked. Our full Animalz review covers its strengths in detail.

Below are nine alternatives, chosen for different budgets and goals. Every price was checked on 16 Oct 2026, and every Clutch rating and review date was rechecked on 18 Oct 2026.

Why teams look past Animalz

Screenshot of the Animalz homepage

None of the reasons below mean Animalz does poor work. They're about fit.

  • You can't see a price until you're in a sales conversation. With a frozen budget, that slows down every internal approval.

  • There's no independent review trail. Zero Clutch reviews leaves you leaning on references the agency picks.

  • The scope is wide. Brand & Authority, SEO & AEO, and Production & Distribution are three different programs. If you only need one, you may be paying for the planning overhead of all three.

  • Most of its published case studies predate October 2025. Its AEO pillar is new, and it hasn't yet published AI citation results.

If none of these bother you, Animalz may still be your best option. If one or two do, the agencies below each solve a specific gap.

TL;DR

  1. Miraa - Best for B2B SaaS teams wanting SEO and AI search visibility at a published monthly price

  2. Omniscient Digital - Best for software companies that want research-led content measured in pipeline

  3. Foundation Marketing - Best for enterprise brands that want content distribution, Reddit and AI search work at scale

  4. Grow and Convert - Best for teams that want a small number of bottom-funnel articles tied to conversions

  5. Siege Media - Best for well-funded brands that want a large, full-service GEO and content team

  6. Optimist - Best for teams that want senior-led SEO on month-to-month terms

  7. Draft.dev - Best for developer-tool companies that need content written by engineers

  8. Skale - Best for European SaaS companies that want SEO, links and AI visibility from one team

  9. RevenueZen - Best for B2B companies that want founder and executive LinkedIn content alongside SEO

How we chose

We started with the gaps buyers most often raise about Animalz: no public pricing, no independent reviews, and a broad brand-and-authority scope that not every team needs. Then we looked for agencies that close at least one of those gaps without losing the B2B SaaS focus.

Each agency had to meet these tests:

  • It works mainly with B2B software or tech companies.

  • It shows real client results, named or clearly described.

  • Its pricing is public, or at least listed on its Clutch profile.

  • Its Clutch profile opened when we visited it directly, or we say so plainly.

  • It has a clear specialty, so the list gives you real choices rather than nine versions of the same shop.

We read each agency's own site on 16 Oct 2026 and opened each Clutch profile directly on 18 Oct 2026. Ratings, review counts and the date of the latest review come straight from those profiles. Client figures are what each agency reports about its own work.

1. Miraa

Screenshot of the Miraa homepage

As a B2B SaaS SEO and AI search agency, Miraa runs classic search work and answer engine optimization as one program, so the pages that rank in Google are also built to be cited in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode.

Services

Miraa offers exactly ten services:

  • On-Page SEO

  • SEO Website Recovery

  • Product-led SEO

  • Content Writing

  • AEO/GEO

  • Agentic SEO/GEO

  • SEO Site Migration

  • Content-led SEO

  • Link Building

  • Technical SEO

The mix leans technical. Site migrations and traffic recovery sit next to content and links, which matters if your site has structural problems that more articles won't fix.

Pricing

Miraa's prices are public, in three tiers listed on its pricing page:

  • Basic Growth costs $2,500 a month

  • Growth+ costs $3,500 a month

  • Hyper-Growth costs $5,000 a month

Even the top plan costs less than the $8,000 monthly start point Animalz lists on Clutch. Before you pick a tier, ask which of the ten services each one covers and how many pages a month you'll get.

Reviews

Miraa has no third-party reviews yet. There's nothing on Clutch or G2 to read, so you'll need to rely on its published case studies and on references from current clients.

Clients

Miraa's case studies are led by the Salesforge family of products.

On AI search, Miraa says Salesforge earned 2,100 Google AI Mode citations, with Gemini adding 618 and Perplexity 388 (Ahrefs, Aug 2026).

The other three case studies on the page are anonymized.

Summary

Pick Miraa if you want search and AI citation work on a known monthly budget, with technical SEO in the same contract. The cons are real: the named results come from one client family, and there are no independent reviews yet.

It's not for teams that want executive LinkedIn programs, printed books or research reports. That brand-and-authority work is where Animalz is stronger.

2. Omniscient Digital

Screenshot of the Omniscient Digital homepage

Based in Austin, Omniscient Digital works on organic growth for B2B software companies. It describes its job as turning "buyer demand into visibility, consideration, and pipeline across search engines and AI platforms." It's the closest match on this list to Animalz's editorial style.

Services

The core is SEO, GEO and content strategy built from customer research. Expect interviews, sales call reviews and a prioritized roadmap before writing starts. Execution covers content production, digital PR and links, and analytics.

Pricing

The agency's own site says full-service engagements start at $120,000 a year, which works out to $10,000 a month. On Clutch, its minimum project is listed at $5,000+ with hourly rates of $100 to $149.

Watch for scope. At that annual figure, ask how many net-new pieces versus refreshes you get, and whether link building is included or billed separately.

Reviews

Omniscient Digital holds a 4.8 rating from 6 Clutch reviews. The latest is dated 23 Mar 2026, from Mozilor.

A March 2026 review by the head of marketing at an AI SaaS company says domain rating went from 52 to 60, impressions tripled and top-three keywords rose tenfold. The same reviewer calls the price "a bit steep" and notes that turnaround estimates ran longer than they'd like.

Convert.com's CMO, reviewing in March 2026, reports 11 backlinks in a month and a half and rankings for every targeted mid- and bottom-funnel keyword. They also note "they were not using any AI" and that writing could be faster.

Clients

Clutch reviewers include Convert.com, Mutiny, AppSumo and Mozilor. Its Clutch summary also names SAP, Adobe, TikTok, Asana, Loom, Jasper and Order.

Summary

Choose Omniscient if you like the Animalz approach of research and expert voice but want a team that talks in pipeline and has recent reviews to show. It's not for teams under roughly $10,000 a month or anyone who needs fast turnaround above all else, and for them our Omniscient Digital alternatives list has options at lower budgets.

3. Foundation Marketing

Screenshot of the Foundation Marketing homepage

Foundation Marketing is a Canadian B2B content and distribution agency based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, founded in 2014. Its recent Clutch reviews describe Reddit programs, comparison pages and content audits for large brands.

Services

Based on its reviews, Foundation's work spans content strategy, content creation, distribution, Reddit marketing, competitor comparison pages and content audits. The distribution and Reddit work is the differentiator. Plenty of content agencies hand over a finished post and stop there, and Reddit threads now show up often in both Google results and AI answers.

Pricing

Clutch lists a minimum project size of $25,000+ and hourly rates of $200 to $300, the highest on this list.

Foundation doesn't publish package prices, so you'll get a figure only after a scoping call. Ask whether onboarding or an initial audit is billed separately from the monthly retainer.

Reviews

Foundation has a 5.0 rating from 14 Clutch reviews. The latest is dated 23 Mar 2026, from Ascent Cloud, about comparison pages built against Sitetracker.

Recent reviewers include Paychex for Reddit work (December 2025), Profound (March 2026), and Flourish for a content audit (December 2025).

Clients

Named reviewers include Paychex, Profound, Ascent Cloud, Flourish and Founders Factory Africa.

Summary

Foundation suits enterprise and late-stage teams that already produce plenty of content and want it distributed, refreshed and visible in AI answers. It's not for small teams; the $25,000+ minimum puts it beyond most Series A budgets.

4. Grow and Convert

Screenshot of the Grow and Convert homepage

Grow and Convert writes a small number of bottom-of-funnel articles and judges them on conversions, not traffic. It's the opposite of Animalz's broad brand program, and that's the point.

Services

The service is narrow by design: keyword research focused on buying intent, article writing, and conversion tracking. It now also positions itself as an SEO and GEO agency, with on-site and off-site content aimed at getting AI tools to recommend clients. Its own AI visibility tracker, Traqer.ai, is "Included free for every client."

You won't get LinkedIn programs, design work or research reports here.

Pricing

Grow and Convert's published packages cost $10,000, $15,000 or $25,000 a month, for three, five or eight articles. Clutch lists a $10,000+ minimum.

That's a high price per article. Ask how they define a conversion before you agree to judge the program on one.

Reviews

It holds a 4.8 rating from 10 Clutch reviews. The latest is dated 12 Jun 2026, from Climb Hire. Most of the others are from 2023, so the review base is small and fairly old.

The criticism that does appear is about writers. A healthcare client ended the relationship when a replacement writer "wasn't a good fit," and another reviewer mentioned "miscommunication with a few of their writers," which they said was fixed. If your field is specialized, ask who will write for you and what happens if that person leaves.

Clients

Clients named on its Clutch profile include Smartlook, Patreon, Brandfolder, Leadfeeder, Weglot, Pilot and ServiceTitan, plus Climb Hire. For a closer look at results and terms, read our Grow and Convert review, or compare similar shops in our list of Grow and Convert alternatives.

Summary

Pick Grow and Convert if you want a handful of articles that sell and you can wait a few months for them to rank. It's not for teams that want volume, brand awareness or AI citation work as a core goal.

5. Siege Media

Screenshot of the Siege Media homepage

Siege Media is a large Austin-based agency that now calls itself a "Full-Service GEO Agency." It began in content and link earning and has rebuilt its pitch around AI answers.

Services

Siege's site lists GEO, GEO and SEO consulting, content marketing, digital PR, affiliate content and Reddit marketing. It has the headcount to run several of those at once, which is the main reason to choose it over a smaller shop.

The breadth is similar to Animalz, but the emphasis differs. Siege leans on search, links and PR, while Animalz leans on executive voice and long-form formats like books and research.

Pricing

Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum, $100 to $149 an hour, and a most common project size of $50,000 to $199,999. In practice that means a significant annual commitment, so ask what's in the first 90 days.

Reviews

Siege Media has a 4.9 rating from 48 Clutch reviews, the largest sample on this list. The latest, dated 31 Aug 2026, comes from an online therapy platform reporting a 400% rise in AI visibility across tracked prompts.

Clients

Its Clutch profile names Intuit, Asana, Zendesk, Quicken Loans and Chime. Our Siege Media review covers its published results, and our Siege Media alternatives list compares similar firms.

Summary

Choose Siege if you want the most review evidence and a big team that can handle GEO, content and PR together. It's not for startups that need tight budgets or a senior strategist on every call.

6. Optimist

Screenshot of the Optimist homepage

Optimist is a Des Moines-based content and SEO agency that sells founder-led strategy on flexible terms. Its site describes its approach as "Human-led, AI-assisted."

Services

Optimist offers full-service SEO, content strategy, content production, and a standalone roadmap called CORE. Engagements are built from a menu of projects, so you can shift effort between refreshes, new content and technical fixes month by month.

Pricing

Its site says full-service SEO "Starts at $3,000/mo," and the CORE Roadmap starts at $2,500. It also says "Every Optimist retainer is month-to-month with no minimum commitment," with 30 days' notice to cancel. A common $5,000-a-month engagement covers up to eight projects.

Ask what counts as a project. Eight small refreshes and eight long-form pillar pages are very different amounts of work.

Reviews

Optimist has a 5.0 rating from a single Clutch review, dated 3 Nov 2025, from Stampli. That reviewer reports a 5x rise in organic inbound pipeline, 20x organic traffic, organic share of deals rising from about 10.5% to about 19.8%, and organic share of wins rising from about 14.0% to about 28.3%.

One review is a thin sample, so ask for references.

Clients

Its own site describes large lead and blog traffic gains for Glide over a year. It also reports that Stampli saw 5x inbound pipeline and 2,000% more traffic value, and that Kubera got 43x signups with 2,961% more organic traffic in 15 months.

Summary

Optimist is a good fit if you want senior attention and the freedom to leave on 30 days' notice. It's not for teams that need a big bench of writers producing high volume every month.

7. Draft.dev

Screenshot of the Draft.dev homepage

Draft.dev is a technical content agency for developer-focused companies. Its writers are working engineers, which is the reason to hire it.

Services

Draft.dev produces tutorials, technical guides, comparisons and other content aimed at developers. The content is meant to rank, but it's also the sort of material developer relations teams reuse in docs, newsletters and community channels. It says it has a network of over 300 engineers who write for clients. It also recommends running promotion alongside the content to drive traffic.

Pricing

Plans start at $9,000 a month, with an initial three-month minimum. Delivery begins after a planning period, so budget for a slower first month.

Reviews

We couldn't find a Clutch profile for Draft.dev; the address we tried returned a not-found page. So there's no Clutch rating to report.

Clients

Its site names Sinch Mailgun, Gusto, Descope, Snyk, Redpanda, Loft Labs and Prove.

Summary

Draft.dev beats a generalist agency when your buyers are developers who can tell instantly whether the writer has shipped code. It's not for companies selling to marketers, finance teams or HR, where engineering depth adds cost without adding much.

8. Skale

Screenshot of the Skale homepage

Skale is a London-based SEO agency for SaaS companies, with a strong presence among European brands. It pairs content with link acquisition and AI visibility work.

Services

Skale runs SEO strategy, content, link building, and AI visibility programs. Its link work is a big part of the offer, which sets it apart from content-first agencies like Animalz.

Pricing

Skale doesn't publish prices. Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum and a most common project size of $10,000 to $49,999.

Because links are central to the offer, ask how link quality is judged and reported. One reviewer's "medium tier" comment, below, shows why that conversation matters.

Reviews

Skale has a 4.9 rating from 20 Clutch reviews. The latest was posted on 16 Oct 2026, from Cookiebot, part of Usercentrics.

The reviews include some honest criticism. A Perkbox reviewer mentions working with three different account managers. A Happy Scribe reviewer calls some of the links "medium tier." A Userled reviewer wanted "higher velocity."

Clients

The agency's Clutch summary reports that Jitter's AI brand coverage rose from 22% to 55% in four months, that HappyScribe's cost per organic signup fell from EUR 7.15 to EUR 0.08 across 558 links, and that Meridian doubled its demo requests.

Summary

Skale fits SaaS teams, especially in Europe, that want links and AI visibility handled together with measurable signup goals. It's not for teams that need brand storytelling or executive thought leadership.

9. RevenueZen

Screenshot of the RevenueZen homepage

RevenueZen, now listed on Clutch as "RevenueZen by Eastern Standard," is a Portland-based B2B agency. It combines executive LinkedIn content with SEO and GEO.

Services

Its two main lines are LinkedIn thought leadership for founders and executives, and organic search covering SEO and GEO. That pairing makes it the nearest budget substitute for Animalz's Brand & Authority pillar.

Pricing

RevenueZen's pricing page lists a Foundation plan at $3,000 a month with four articles, three content refreshes and an ongoing content audit. It offers month-to-month pricing, with 6- and 12-month contracts at discounted rates. Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum and $150 to $199 an hour.

Reviews

RevenueZen has a 4.9 rating from 38 Clutch reviews. The latest review we could see was dated 1 Oct 2025. The profile showed 10 of its 38 reviews on the first page, so a newer one may exist. Clutch's summary themes include "Room for Proactive Strategy" and "Timeliness Issues," which are worth raising in your first call.

Clients

Its site quotes Inside Sales Solutions and reports $176K in organic-sourced revenue closed in the first six months, 46 qualified opportunities from organic search, and an 88% rise in top-10 rankings.

Summary

Choose RevenueZen if you want executive LinkedIn and search under one roof for well under Animalz's start price. It's not for teams that need research reports, design or large multimedia programs.

What to watch out for in any proposal

Whichever agency you shortlist, the same few details decide whether the program pays off. Ask about each one before you sign.

  • Who does the work. Senior people often run the sales call and then hand you to a junior team. Ask for the names and experience of your strategist and writers.

  • What a unit of output means. "Four pieces a month" could mean four 800-word posts or four 4,000-word guides with original data.

  • How refreshes are counted. Updating old pages is often the fastest win, but some retainers count a refresh as a full piece.

  • What's measured, and when. Agree on the metric (signups, demos, AI citations, pipeline) and on when you'll judge it. Ninety days is too short for most new content to rank.

  • How AI is used in production. Many buyers now discount content that reads as machine-written, so ask where AI sits in the workflow, who edits the result, and whether subject experts review drafts before they go live.

  • What happens when you leave. Confirm you keep all content, briefs, dashboards and any workflow tools the agency built for you.

How to choose

Your choice depends on what you were hoping Animalz would do for you.

You wanted executive thought leadership

RevenueZen is the budget option for LinkedIn programs. Omniscient Digital is the closer match for research-led editorial work, at a higher price.

You need organic signups and demos, fast

Grow and Convert and Skale both measure success in conversions. Grow and Convert writes fewer, deeper pieces; Skale leans on links.

You want to show up in AI answers

Miraa, Siege Media and Skale all publish AI visibility results: Miraa reports citation counts by AI platform, Siege a rise in AI visibility on tracked prompts, and Skale a jump in AI brand coverage. Foundation's Reddit work is also relevant, since Reddit threads are a common source for AI answers. For more options, see our list of the best AEO agencies for B2B SaaS.

Your budget is under $5,000 a month

Miraa ($2,500 to $5,000), Optimist (from $3,000) and RevenueZen (from $3,000) all publish prices in this range. Watch out for what's excluded at the entry tier, such as link building or technical fixes.

You're replacing Animalz mid-contract

Ask any new agency to audit what's already live before planning new work. Pages Animalz built may only need refreshing, and a clean handover of briefs, keyword maps and dashboards saves you months. Make sure you have access to everything before the old contract ends.

You sell to developers

Draft.dev is the clear pick. Engineer-written content earns trust with technical buyers in a way general writers rarely manage.

You want lots of independent proof

Siege Media (48 reviews) and RevenueZen (38) have the deepest Clutch records. Miraa has no third-party reviews yet, Optimist has one, and Draft.dev has no Clutch profile.

You want flexible terms

Optimist is month-to-month with 30 days' notice, and RevenueZen offers month-to-month too. Draft.dev asks for three months up front. For everyone else, ask for the term and notice period in writing before you sign.

FAQ

Why do teams look for Animalz alternatives?

The usual reasons are price and proof. Animalz doesn't publish prices, its Clutch listing self-reports a start of $8,000 a month, and it had no Clutch reviews as of 18 Oct 2026. Some teams also want a narrower SEO program than its three-pillar model.

What's the cheapest Animalz alternative on this list?

Miraa's Basic Growth plan is $2,500 a month. Optimist's CORE Roadmap also starts at $2,500, though that's a roadmap rather than a full retainer.

Which alternative is closest to Animalz in style?

Omniscient Digital. It starts from customer research and builds editorial content for B2B software brands, much like Animalz, and it has recent Clutch reviews.

Which agencies here work on AI search visibility?

Miraa, Siege Media, Skale, Omniscient Digital, Grow and Convert and RevenueZen all describe AI search or GEO work on their own sites or Clutch profiles.

Do any of these agencies offer month-to-month contracts?

Optimist and RevenueZen both state month-to-month terms on their own sites. Draft.dev has a three-month minimum. The others don't publish contract terms.

Is Animalz still a good choice?

For funded teams that want brand, thought leadership and SEO in one program, yes. Read our Animalz review for the full picture.
